Amazing fireworks display at Matina
CHRISTMAS is a season filled with the fondest memories of family, relatives, friends, loved ones and special "someones". These moments become more meaningful when gatherings are spent and shared over sumptuous food, thirst-quenching refreshments and definitely, entertainment at it's discriminating best.
For a last hurrah at the end of the significant annum, Matina Town Square once again treated droves of friends and regular clientele to nights of various choice entertainment provided by live bands, solo performers and cultural groups.
The celebration is made more significant only with savory gastronomic delights from the myriad of MTS food shops and Resto-bars. Huling Hirit 2004 sa MTS highlighted the end of yet another historical and memorable year where early evening patrons and yuppie groups out for their usual "gimmicks" enjoyed Acoustic Nights at the Courtyard with Jeremie on Dec 27 and Rannie Yu on the 28th, performing standards and pop hits.
Not to be left out, partygoers and Holiday revelers alike also ended the year with all night dancing and drinking at Taboan and the Strip with live bands alternating at the two venues. 8 Mile, Punch 9 and IV Play bands started the adrenalin pumping on the 29th while Hi-Lites nd Kardams kept the crowd's feet stomping on the Dec. 30.
After-Christmas, shoppers were also in for a treat at Park A as last minute bargain hunting was irresistible at the MTS Night Bazaar from Dec. 27 to Dec. 30.
Another one of the many successful traditions that Matina Town Square has shared with its dear patrons and first-time visitors over the past few years,
Huling Hirit 2004 sa MTS indeed proved to be such...a last hurrah guaranteed to cap all the other special events and highlights of the past year, assuring one and all of the many surprises and original concepts that are unique only to Matina Town Square.
Meanwhile, on Dec. 31, an amazing show of fireworks was witnessed by Davao del Norte residents living near the shoreline. The pyrotechnics were set off at the Island Buenavista near Liguid island. From Pantukan, Panabo, Balet and Igacos, Davao del Norte to Bunawan, Tibungco, Davao City, residents living near the shores witnessed the eight-minute electronic display.
Thousands enjoyed the impressive fireworks as they lit up the sky in a kaleidoscope of colors. What a way to end the year, indeed!
