Manny will beat Erik, says Piñol By Charles Raymond A. Maxey
NORTH Cotabato Governor Manny Piñol, an avid boxing fan and promoter, on Thursday said Manny Pacquiao will overcome Erik Morales when the Filipino ring warrior faces the Mexican on March 19 in Las Vegas.
"Pacquiao will win that fight. It's an easier fight than the Marquez fight," Piñol said, referring to Pacquiao's clash with International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Association featherweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez last May which ended in a draw.
Piñol, who once promoted Pacquiao's world title-fight in Davao City, is scheduled to travel to Las Vegas to witness the Pacquiao-Morales bout.
"I will watch the fight," he said.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao urged not only fight fans all over the globe to witness his 12-round super featherweight fight with Morales.
"Make sure all of you see this fight this coming March 19th," Pacquiao told Boxingtalk.com.
"It's going to be a good fight. I will give a good fight, a lot of action," added Pacquiao, Ring Magazine's featherweight king.
