8 boys seek Bayan's help; fears summary execution
EIGHT out-of-school boys is said to have sought the assistance of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan Southern Mindanao Region (Bayan SMR) after they were informed by people in their community that they were placed under police surveillance for suspected involvement in illegal activities.
But Bayan SMR spokesperson Jeppie Ramada refused to reveal identities of the eight minors.
"They said they are not involved in illegal activities," Ramada said in the vernacular.
Ramada said the boys approached them after receiving word that they are targets of vigilantes roaming in the city.
Ramada said Bayan will check with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 11 whether these youths are indeed in the list of those suspected to be involved
in illegal activities. (AAG)
