Gallant Pacquiao loses to Morales
Erik's right hand was bigger

Erik's right hand was bigger

THE right hand of Erik Morales came out the bigger than the left straight of Manny Pacquiao during their super featherweight clash at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

And the result: A smashing success for "El Terrible" in the exciting bout that saw both fighters firing bombs for the full 12 rounds.

Pacquiao as usual landed left straights, but they were not as stinging as the ones he threw against Juan Manuel Marquez, whom he dropped three times in the first round last year.

Even the much-ballyhooed "Manila Ice", reportedly a right hook, didn't fared well against Morales' right hand.

Freddie Roach, Pacquiao's American trainer, admitted: "Morales landed the bigger punches."

Pacquiao, however, showed he can also take punches. "He's a tough guy. I hit him with everything," Morales said. (CRAM)
