Adaza, a first year management student at the Ateneo de Davao University, had played and beaten Callejo before, but could not remember losing to her foe when asked about their head-to-head meeting.

She reached the finals after ousting Macy Serrano in the morning semi-finals, 7-6, (7-4), 6-2.

In the boys 14-under finals, Ernesto Pantua of Tupi, South Cotabato trounced Andrei Dizon, 6-3, 6-4, to share the limelight with Adaza.

Other finals matches were still being played as of press time.

Other semis results saw RP Jr. Davis Cup campaigner El Santo Santos of Rizal Memorial Colleges overcoming Ryan Bendijo, 6-1, 1-6, 11-9 to barge into the boys 16-under finals opposite No. 1 Efren Macasinag.

Macasinag recovered from a first set loss to beat Juan Carlo Pantua 2-6, 6-4, 10-7.

Davao's Andre Banate arranged a champioship match against Patric Lim Solis in boys 12-under after beating Jason Patrobon, 6-4, 2-6, 12-10.

Solis earlier eliminated Juan Paolo Cansino, 6-3, 6-1. In the 10-under unisex category, Kurt Gerapusco of Polomolok, South Cotabato and James Sumaylo were still slugging it out for the crown.

Gerapusco booted out Karlo Clar, 6-4, 2-6, 10-8, while Sumaylo downed Geoffrey Pinili, 6-12, 7-6, in the semis round.

Ernesto Pantua and Andrei Dizon were set to battle the boys 14-under plum in the four-day netfest sponsored by Dynamic Sports Corporation, Head tennis racket and Penn official balls.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Tennis Association (Philta)-sanctioned tour will open its General Santos leg today.
