"It is a general-all-purpose bomb weighing more or less 20 pounds, though inactive siya, naa pa siya'y pulbura kaya pwede pa to ma-improvise (Though the bomb is already inactive, it could be improvised since it still has grenade powder)," Dionisio said.

Dionisio added that the bomb was discovered by one Lorenzo Galao, backhoe operator of the Mabuhay Enterprises at around 6:30 a.m.

"Naa'y ongoing construction didto, gireport niya (Galao) sa station nga naa siya'y nakita nga bomba, mga two meters below the ground daw nakalubong (There was an ongoing construction there, Galao reported to our precinct that he discovered a bomb, it was allegedly buried two meters below the ground)," Dionisio said.

Dionisio added that the bomb, cylindrical in shape, has a radius of one kilometer if it explodes.

The bomb, which is believed to be a drop-ammunition bomb, could have been buried for a long time since it rusted already, he said.

The bomb was turned over to the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit team of the Davao City Police Office.
