Nugas, Erno are champs in bowlfest
VIC Nugas and Tony Erno won titles in the Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) weekly tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center Sunday night.
Nugas struck for 267 pinfalls to emerge champion in class A division. He beat runner-up Plutie Banlasan who garnered 233 while Aksan Amsirabe and Paul Rabe tied for third with 230 each.
Erno, on his part, hit 222 pinfalls over Alex Decasaran's 209 and SBC president Emie Orteza's 205.
The class C crown went to Cesar Rentuma (228) while Rey Paloso (227) and Nars Agustin (213) trailed behind.
Lydia Ampo kept the ladies plum with 208, besting Nitz Ilaga (206), Che-Che Calida (193) and Mathess Domino (193).
The bowlfest will resume on Sunday at the same venue. It stakes cash prizes for the winners. (MLS)
