Davao jins in GenSan meet
AFTER their successful stint in the recent New Face of the Year tournament, the Davao City jins from Marco Polo Central gym are eyeing to reap honors in the coming taekwondo tournament in General Santos City on April 29 to 30.
"The kids have already prepared for this tournament and are ready to face other jins coming from the different clubs in Mindanao," Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA) regional director and seven dan blackbelt John Kim said during a victory party at Marco Polo Hotel.
"This will also serve as a tune-up game for them as they will also compete in Cagayan de Oro City in the tournament slated in the second week of May," Kim added.
Marco Polo's fitness and recreational manager Jovy Aquino personally congratulated the kids who saw action in the event held at Entertainment Center of SM City Davao wherein their reaped a total of seven golds, six silvers and five bronze medals in the two-day event.
"Thank you for bringing honor to Marco Polo Central gym and we hope that this will not be the last time we see you kids winning, said Aquino, a football player.
The Davao City-Marco Polo Central gym is supported by Marco Polo Hotel's general manager Stanley Hao Aquino, PTA-XI marketing manager Darren Evangelista and Rotto Fresh Traders International Corporation's head of company Kang Yeun Il.
