Eat Bulaga live in Davao on May 28
BROADCAST leader GMA Network Inc., in its bid to reach out to Dabawenyos, will bring the country's top-rating noontime show Eat Bulaga in Davao City on May 28.
The show will be aired live nationwide over GMA-7.
The entire cast, led by popular host-comedians Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, will be at SM City to provide fun-filled and exciting performances, along with co-hosts Pia Guanio, Ruby Rodriguez, Anjo Yllana, Francis Magalona, Gladys Guevarra, Jimmy Santos and the rest of the gang.
Popular GMA talents are also expected to arrive to entertain thousands of Dabawenyos who are expected to flock the show's venue.
Jimmy Po Alanis, GMA Network Regional Television head, said Monday they will start bringing in their top-rating programs in the city as their own way of reaching out to Dabawenyos.
"We want to show the people of Davao that they too are GMA's kapuso," he said.
"Last month, we had Extra Challenge here. Early this month naman, we had Sis staged their show at the NCCC Mall. These are just few of our major initiatives in reaching out to the Dabawenyo viewers," he added.
He said Eat Bulaga is just the beginning of a series of live shows the network will bring in the city.
"Dabawenyos should expect that every month, may show na dadalhin dito ang GMA Network. Be it an entertainment or public affairs program," Alanis said.
The network is likewise planning to have a grand roadshow here, similar to what they did in Cebu City.
"What we did in Cebu, we want to replicate that in Davao. And that's part of our regional commitment," he said.
GMA Network chair, president and chief executive officer Felipe L. Gozon said they have set aside P40 million for its promotional campaign natiowide.
