City to host business conference anew
By Jenny Molbog-Mendoza

DAVAO City will again host this year's 14th Mindanao Business Conference (Minbizcon) slated in September.

The Mindanao Business Council (MBC), organizer of the business gathering, decided to hold the conference in the city for two consecutive years for reasons that the council refused to elaborate on.

Some 600 to 800 stakeholders in the business community throughout the country and from other participating countries abroad are expected to convene at the Davao Convention and Trade Center for the 14th Minbizcon on September 14-17.

The MBC and the seven members of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FDCCI) are expected to come up with a series of activities for the event.

The FDCCI, composed of the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (DCCCII), Mt. Apo Davao del Sur CCCII, Tagum City CCII, Davao Oriental Eastern CCII, Island Garden City of Samal CCII, Sta. Cruz CCII, and Nabunturan CCII, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the MBC on April 28 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel for co-hosting the conference.

This year's 14th Minbizcon will be anchored on the theme "Mindanao...Delivering on the Promises."
