Willie graces NCCC Mall Freedom Day celebration

FUNNYMAN Willie Revillame will brighten up Independence Day celebration at NCCC Mall of Davao. On Friday afternoon, the entire cast of Wowowee will have their mall tour at NCCC Mall at 5 pm.

Part of the ABS CBN Kapamilya caravan of shows in Davao City this June, Willie will join other ABS CBN stars in a motorcade along Davao City's major thoroughfares.

On June 11, he will tape a special episode of his Wowowee show at PTA grounds and aired live over ABS CBN 4 Davao.

Celebrate Independence Day with the Philippines' National Bird, Pithcophaga jefferyi, the Monkey-Eating Eagle. Philippine Eagle Foundation, Incorporated (Pefi) will hold a weeklong photo exhibit of unguarded moments with the Philippine Eagle captured by foremost photographers from the Camera Club of Davao.

Information materials on how you can help safeguard the Philippine Eagle's survival, whether individually or as a group, is available through the Pefi desk at the exhibit area near the Activity Center.

Should you find that the exhibited pictures speak to you and long to have a place in your homes, your purchase of these photographs will also help support
Pefi in its task of educating more people to preserve our Philippine symbol's habitat. Featured photographers are Ben Young, Tommy Iņigo, and Chiaw Yap among others.

Discover young singers as they shine on the second eliminations week of the Star of Davao 2005 search every 4 p.m. at the Activity Center.

This week's contenders are Maila Manalang, Julius Saludo, Archie Galvez, Glenda Oblianda, Kervin Chu and Joan Nano. Winners of the first weekly elimination were announced on June 4 where Geofrey Ginete and Jenny Belle Peņano emerged as the top two contenders who will vie for the Grand Prize of P100,000 on August 27. This search is brought to you by NCCC Supermarket.

Lastly, support your local media personalities as they battle it out on the Go Kart Raceway during the Handog sa Media Challenge.

Twelve of the best go-kart racers who registered the best times on June 5, will now proceed to the Final Round and compete to win prizes for Best Individual Time, Best Team Time and Best Lady Driver.

This Go-Kart sporting event is made possible with the support of Globe Telecom, 5th Gear and NCCC Mall, also sponsored by San Miguel Corporation, Petron Corporation, Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking and the NCCC Group of Companies.

5th Gear is also inviting all go-kart enthusiasts to take advantage of the Go Kart Raceway all weekends of June until the 25th from 1 to 7pm at the NCCC Entrance 3 Parking area. A basic orientation on safety will b given by 5th Gear personnel to all interested individuals even as young as 8! Go-Kart ride costs P150 for 10 laps.
