P100M Wangan-Mulig road construction starts soon

DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte on Tuesday led the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Wangan, Calinan--Mulig, Toril road network.

The project amounts to almost P100 million. City Engineers Office chief Leoncio B. Evasco explained that the construction of the Wangan-Mulig road network is divided into four sections or packages.

The four sections are the 2.75 kilometer Wangan Road, 3.60 kilometer Wangan-Subasta-Tagakpan Road, 3.52 kilometer Tagakpan-Manambulan Road and the 2.81 kilometer Manambulan-Mulig Road.

Evasco said the construction of these sections will start simultaneously.

Contractors for the project include WTG Company for package one costing P19 million, Ulticon Builders Incorporated for package two costing P23 million, Mavric Builders for package three costing P24 million and Gampik Construction and Development Corporation for package four costing P18 million.

Earlier, Duterte also led the groundbreaking of the Cabantian to Bunawan Road.

The City Government has, in fact, allocated a total of P160 million for the construction of the alternate roads in Bunawan to Buhangin in the north part of the city and Calinan to Toril in the south part. (AAG)
