Armed men raid town cop armory
Contained excitement is written on the faces of close kin and government officials led by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Director Zenobia Caro and Department of Foreign Affairs-Mindanao Walter Salmingo (rightmost, above) just as the airplane bringing home overseas Filipino worker Robert Theodore Tarongoy landed at around 8:45 p.m. (Sun.Star Davao/Seth Delos Reyes)
THIRTY-six fully armed men who disguised themselves as members of the Philippine National Police's Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) raided the Magpet police station Sunday evening and left off just as fast with 25 firearms from the station's armory.
