Alparaque attributed the growth to the improved peace and order situation of the city and low cost of doing business here.

Alparaque said that for a company, which is into manufacturing business, with a gross sales of P6.5 million, the city is allowed to collect an amount of P36,500 as tax.

"Despite the political crisis that is happening in Metro Manila, we are optimistic that we will never be affected by the said political uncertainty. In fact, may ilang investors na nga from Manila who are interested to invest here," he said.

By the end of 2005, the Business Bureau is envisioning to register 27,000 establishments and reap an aggregate collection of P400 million.
