UIC, Ateneo square off in Ligaw Dabaw

THE University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) collides with Ateneo de Davao University as the Liga Dabaw second division football tournament kicks off at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Tionko field.

The second match pits Lumad Nuevo against the Koreans at 4 p.m. while Real El Solido clashes with Fil-Chi FC in the 7 p.m. main match.

Other teams entered in the Davao Football Association (DFA)-organized meet are the Davao Ladies and Davao Under-17 teams.

Meanwhile, two games will be played in the resumption of division 1 on Sunday.

The Davao Under-19 battles University of Southern Mindanao (USM) Kabacan at 1:30 p.m. while Medvil FC takes on Solido-Hambisa at 3:30 p.m.

Solido-Hambusa holds a 1-0 card while USM Kabacan, Davao Under-19 and Medvil has one draw each since the tournament opened last weekend.

Solido-Hambusa pulled off a 4-3 win over Davao United
while Davao-Under 19 forced a 4-4 standoff with Medvil and USM Kabacan tied with the Hooligans in their debut matches.

Medvil's Jojit Mendez and Davao Under-19's Ramfil Mamaril will not be seeing action this Sunday, as they will serve their one-game suspension after getting red cards last week.
