Kadayawan, a joint effort of city, businessmen

KADAYAWAN sa Dabaw Foundation Inc. president, Arnold D. Navales said Thursday the Kadayawan celebration is a joint effort of the business sector and city officials.

Navales said the funds for the Kadayawan festivities were sourced from contributions by big and small businesses in the city.

He, however, did not deny that there are some businessmen who did not accept solicitations from the Kadayawan Foundation.

Earlier reports showed City Tourism officer Id Acaylar said the local businessmen never extended support for Kadayawan.

But Acaylar denied saying such and insisted that he did not generalize the business sector as not helping the Kadayawan festivities. (AAG)
