New characters, plot twists on 'Encantadia'

MORE and more viewers are getting hooked to Encantadia's captivating story, and viewers will surely be even more delighted with the new spellbinding plot twists and enchanting characters in GMA Network's top-rating telefantasya.

Monday saw Lira's (Jennylyn Mercado) much-awaited transformation sequence into a true Warrior Princess. Cassiopea (Cindy Kurleto) then turned over the sword, Avatar, to her and it will be made more powerful by the blessing of Lira's mother, Amihan (Iza Calzado). With Danaya (Diana Zubiri), who keeps the gemstone of Earth, Lira will take on a quest to Devas to know her true mission as the savior of Encantadia.

In the following days, watch Lira as she continues her training in warfare while she and Danaya make their way to Devas in a Lirean airship.

Members of the Encantadia production staff were so amused with Jennylyn when she changed into her new costume: she was like an excited child when she saw her new look.

Moreover, Jennylyn admitted that she was nervous at first about training for her fight sequences because she might get hurt.

However, she surprised director Mark Reyes because she easily mastered the choreography for her fight sequences. According to Direk Mark, Jennylyn is a good dancer, which is why she just looks like she's dancing when doing her routine.

Even more impressive is how she only gets to be taught the moves on the set because of her tight schedule and still she is able to master them very quickly.

Lira and Danaya's journey will become even more dangerous as they meet creatures they have never seen before in other parts of Encantadia, like the Barbaros led by Wahid (Benjie Paras). Basketball stars Alex Crisano and Chris Tan play his companions.

It is interesting to note something Dingdong Dantes and Karylle shared with the production staff, which is that Alex is an avid viewer of Encantadia and that he asked them if he could have a chance to guest in the show.

Fortunately, production was able to include Alex in the casting for Wahid's companions.

A new set for the Barbaros was also created by production designer Rodel Cruz.

Encantadia really never ceases to make its already grand production even more colossal, with the construction of more new sets and even more beautiful costumes.

Furthermore, Kahlil (Jake Cuenca), whose hatred for Lira grew into a maddening desire to kill her through the poisonous coaxing of his foster mother Pirena (Sunshine Dizon), will follow Lira to Devas.

Watch out for the terrible battle between half-siblings Kahlil and Lira, with their Ashti Danaya.

Will this be the end for one of Ybarro's (Dingdong) two children?

More danger awaits Lira on her way to Devas. Yet help is on her side, and one of them is in the form of Amihan's father, Raquim (Richard Gomez).

When Lira reaches Devas, she will meet Armeo (Ian Veneracion) as well as Mine-a or Ynang Reyna (Dawn Zulueta), from whom she will learn her true mission, which will make way for achieving peace and unity in Encantadia.

What is Lira's mission? And will she be able to fulfill it?

Meanwhile, will Ybarro and Alena (Karylle) ever see each other again? Will he be able to answer Cassiopea's riddle, which says that we will find true love in a spring in the middle of the forest?

On the other hand, is there really love growing between Pirena and Asval (Bobby Andrews) and will this mean that they would finally join forces?

Their steamy scenes together are truly something viewers shouldn't miss. And so shouldn't viewers fail to watch the love that is playfully growing between Danaya and Aquil (Alfred Vargas).

Last week, audiences swooned over Danaya and Aquil's "I love you!" sequence, and last Monday viewers have witnessed its latest development.

If last week Aquil was unable to respond to Danaya after hearing her say those words, what could he have said in reply this time to the Sanggre Danaya? And what effect will this have on their blossoming attraction toward each other?

These are just sneak peeks into the many wonderful and astounding creatures and plot twists that will be unfolded for Encantadia's loyal audience in the following days.
