Women taekwondo set

THE 2005 Regional All-Women Taekwondo Championships will get underway on Sunday at the SM City.

Organizer Jun Te said he expect 60 participants in the women's competition and 70 in the men's exhibition game.

Entries from taekwondo centers Jose Te, Pingoy, Philippine Army, FSU 11, Beefit, University of Mindanao, Holiday Spa, Ateneo de Davao University, Rising Dragon, Eagles Claw, Golden Shield and Marco Polo will strut their stuff in the one-day meet.

Medals and other prizes will be awarded to the winners in all categories.

The Philippine Taekwondo Association is sanctioning the event. (MLS)
