Ebocci booters beat Davao U-19
THE Columbia-Ebocci eleven beat Davao U-19, 3-1, in the Liga Dabaw first division tournament held at the Tionko field in Agro compound over the weekend.
Reggie Ozims opened scoring with a goal in the ninth minute, which was followed up by a Jorge Valenzona strike in the 35th for an early 2-0 Ebocci-Colombia lead.
Davao U-19 striker Emerson Demegillo then hit in the 41st to cut the rival team's lead at 1-2 but Jevanni Bague secured a goal in the 75th to wrap up the win.
In another match, Davao United forced a 4-4 standoff with the Hooligans.
Gerald Maldo scored in the second minute for the Hooligans but Jayric Iligan of Davao United leveled the match at 1-1 by scoring in the 22nd.
Hooligan's Malvin Deypalubos found the net in the 30th for a 2-1 lead but Enrique Salas-Romero countered in the 33rd for the second deadlock, 2-2.
RP junior player Jason Mortillero secured a goal in the 61st to lift a 3-2 Davao United advantage yet Hooligans' Deypalubos and Peter Garciano sealed back-to-back goals to snatch a 4-3 edge.
Luis Balajadia of Davao United hit in the 73rd to force the draw.
The tournament will resume this Sunday in the Davao Football Association (DFA)-organized meet. (MLS)
