Mabutas loop gets going at Holy Cross

THE Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) Crusaders and University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcats renew their rivalry when the 4th Mnsg. Antonio Mabutas Cup opens Friday at the HCDC Gym.

Both teams are the early favorites in the two-day tournament that also casts Digos City Collegiate Invitational champion Davao College of Southern Philippimes and 2004 Compostela Valley Invitational champion Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Bulldogs.

HCDC president Dr. Ma. Iris Melliza is the guest of honor during the opening rites at 4 p.m.

The Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-sanctioned cagefest will be a knockout format event where the winners will fight for the championship title on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. (MLS)
