Minbizcon golf set at Apo
CLOSE to 250 golfers will strut their stuff in the 14th Minbizcon Invitational Golf Tournament on September 14 at the Apo Golf and Country Club.
Tournament commissioner Frank Ramos, guesting in yesterday's Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn, said participants will come from Davao City and other parts in Mindanao.
"We also expect some visitors from abroad in this preliminary event of our conference," Ramos said.
The 18-hole Stableford individual competition, according to him, also expects top executives and business leaders.
"This is open to 21 years old and above players including lady golfers. We will be giving away trophies and merchandise to gross and net A, B, C and D champions. The runners-up will also get merchandise," Ramos said.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) executive vice-president for Mindanao Dominador Duerme said out-of-town participants in the golf event can avail of 25 percent discount on regular rates.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and other city officials will guest in the ceremonial tee-off of the event co-organized by the Mindanao Business Council and the Davao City Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The awards night is set at the Waterfront Insular Hotel. (MLS)
