14th Minbizcon starts Thursday
TOP National Government officials are expected to gather in Davao City for the three-day 14th Mindanao Business Conference (Minbizcon), which will be held at the Davao Convention and Trade Center starting Thursday.
Among those who have been invited by the Mindanao Business Council (MBC) to speak during the three-day business event are Senator Manuel B. Villar, Jr. and Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.
Secretaries, assistant secretaries, and undersecretaries of various government agencies are likewise expected to grace the event.
Minbizcon is an annual gathering of business stakeholders, both public and private, in Mindanao.
Organized through the MBC and Federation of Davao Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FDCCI), the 14th Minbizcon will serve as the major business conference for all local chambers in the entire island of Mindanao.
At least 1,000 businessmen from all over the country are expected to attend the gathering.
This year's Minbizcon will put greater emphasis on the commitments of the business community and response of the government to the action agenda presented by the MBC during last year's Minbizcon.
Updates on BIMP-Eaga partnership with the Northern Territory Australia will be discussed as well.
The 14th Minbizcon is anchored on the theme "Mindanao... Delivering on the Promises". (JMM)
