Chocolate in artistry By Marissa S. Te Eng Fo
DOROTHY Ferreira comes back to Davao gourmet and foodies on September 15 to do her "Getting Ready for the Holiday Series".
But of course we are getting near the holiday season, dahlins! Her classes will feature holiday cooking, gourmet cooking (osso bucco, rice pilaf with spicy sausage and peas, or baked chicken Milanese), chocolate classics (flourless choco cake or chocolate bread pudding and more), everything chocolate (know how to bake chocolate marshmallow cake, chocolate almond sans rival!), bar cookies to pack, bars in different flavors (featuring chewy brownies, chocolate chip bars, lemon squares, black forest and cappuccino brownies and many more!) and home style bread making. Her classes end September 19.
The class on bread making will showcase baking bread without the use of preservatives and other chemicals. Talk about breadbasket favorites such as ube ensaymada, cheese roll, sticky buns, apple swirls with caramel sauce, rustic potato bread. Does that not make one salivate?!
Dorothy brings with her an extensive culinary know-how from writing as a columnist of food magazines, to studying in Thailand, United States and Philippines.
She has written kitchen tested recipe books and has received awards and citations in the field of cookery.
Best Buy warehouse Phil. Inc. (sister company of Davcon, Probinsiya, Regines and Buffet Palace) brought in Dorothy's traveling cooking school to this city with the help of Nestle‚ Philippines, Julius Maggi Kitchen, Glad Wraps and Bags, Sunnex, Peotraco and Actron Industries. The venue of the classes will be inside Buffet Palace.
Have fun baking those goodies!
