Investigation bureau gets facelift

THE office of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-11 in Davao City has a new and better facade courtesy of Davao City 1st District Representative Prospero Nograles.

Nograles donated P1 million for the renovation of the NBI-11 office along J.P. Laurel Avenue, which now has a new entrance gate and waiting shed constructed for the benefit of the public.

In a simple turnover ceremony on Thursday, NBI director Reynaldo Wycoco thanked Nograles for his generosity in funding the renovation of their Southern Mindanao office.

Wycoco said their newly renovated office could accommodate the public better since they will no longer be exposed to harsh weather conditions if ever they have some transactions at the NBI.

Before the renovation, applicants for NBI clearance would have to bear being exposed to the heat of the sun or to the rain due to lack of facilities.

Nograles, through his congressional fund, tapped the Department of Public Works and Highways to do the refurbishing of the NBI office that was completed in two months. (BOT)
