Ateneo guns for 1st win By Marianne L. Saberon
THE Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) Blue Knights will try to score its first win when it collides with the DMMA College of Southern Philippines when the 3rd Gaisano South Cup basketball tournament resumes Thursday at the GS SkyGym. Gametime is at 5 p.m.
Both teams are entered in college division 1 with the Blue Knights toting a 0-1, win-loss record while DMMA is holding a 3-4 slate in the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP)-sanctioned cagefest.
The main game pits cellar dwellers University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) against AMA Computer College at 6:30 p.m.
UIC had three straight losses while AMA lost all its first four matches in the same division.
The Agro-Industrial Foundation College (AIFC) Sailors lead the bracket with a clean 5-0 slate followed by comebacking University of Mindanao (UM) Wildcats (3-0) and Jose Maria College (JMC) Kings (3-1).
Only one game is featured on Friday with San Pedro College (4-1) taking on University of Southeastern Philippines (Usep) (3-0) at 5 p.m. in division 2.
