Dulay: A sparkling night with DC Mt. Apo Lions Club

The 35th installation of officers and induction of new members of the Davao City Mt. Apo Lions Club last August 7 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel along Magallanes St., Davao City was another grand night for the its members, officers and guests.

First off was the call to Order done by IPP Eduardo S. Uy then the Lions Prayer led by Alejo B. Bulseco III.

The national anthem was led by Jovy Endaya while welcome remarks was delivered by PP Rodolfo A. Lalin and introduction of visiting Lions and guests was done by PP Ernest Martin A. Damaso.

The event also witnessed the twinning ceremony between the Davao City Mr. Apo Lions Club and the Maharlika Lions Club of Sacramento, California, USA.

Entertaiment numbers were presented by the Mt. Apo Lions Dance Ensemble. A song number by Gary Damaso never ceased to amaze the audience with his rich baritone voice.

There were also short messages from the Mt. Matutum Lions Club, Maharlika Lions Club of Sacramento, USA, Mt. Kitanglad Lions Club and Independence Host Lions
Club of Missouri, USA. Presentation of officers for LY 2005-2006 was done by
Sigrid Z. Pamonag while IPDG Robert G. Lee inducted the new set of officers. Outgoing president Uy gave his valedictory speech and turn over of
responsibilities while president Honorio Enday delivered his acceptance speech.

The presentation of new members was done by PP Fabiola B. Bulseco and the induction of new members led by vice district governor Bion Kun Hao.

A short history of DC Mt. Apo Lions Club was presented by PDG Alejo P. Bulseco, Jr. PDG Levi G. Damaos, Jr. recognize the charter members of DC Mt. Apo Lions
Club.

The guest speaker was introduced by PP Sonia A. Damaso, 301-E district governor Cely Gordiel. Closing remarks was delivered by Walter Lumamba.

Masters of ceremony Cynthia Damaso and Jerry Sy made the evening livelier with their spiels.
