Bowling loop resumes at Fairlanes

THE Maa Pinpowers will try to stretch its lead as the Davao City Inter-School Bowling Tournament resumes at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Fairlanes Bowling Center.

Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) president Emie Orteza said Saturday's two games would be the last for the elimination round.

Teams will then be grouped into two brackets where the top six teams will be in bracket A and the next six teams in bracket B," Orteza said.

He said all teams in each bracket would have to play six more games where the top four teams will play the step-the-ladder championship round. The top teams will enjoy twice-to-beat advantage.

The top four teams, however, will all receive cash prizes and trophies. Team and individual performers will also get trophies.

Championship matches are slated October 22.

The bowlfest is sponsored by Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and endorsed by the Department of Education (DepEd) Davao City Division of Schools. (MLS)
