Soccer expert introduces new technology in Davao By Charles Raymond A. Maxey
A SOCCER expert from Indonesia on Friday introduced a new technology to help soccer enthusiasts in Davao City develop greater skills in the sport.
Louis Girard Papineau launched Futbol Meastro, the newest guidelines and gadget on soccer training for the young booters and beginners.
The gadget include a colored ball and a boot glove, which players rely upon to improve their dribbling and passing skills.
"We would like to launch this product here. We would like to present this to the market here in Davao," Papineau said during Friday morning's product presentation at the Idonesian Consulate General's office at Ecoland Subdivision in Matina.
"Our objective here is to help people develop skills in soccer and help coaches train people," Papineau added.
Top Indonesian Consulate officials led by Bambang Gunawan, officials of the Davao Football Association (DFA), club teams, journalists, and players from as far as South Cotabato attended the presentation.
Papineau said they intend to present the new technology to schools and club teams what with interest in football expected to heighten with the World Cup just around the corner.
"Next year will be a World Cup year. There's going to soccer fever throughout the world," said Papineau, who is currently going around Asia to promote the new technology.
