U-19 Bootfest Davao eleven enters finals
HIGHLY-touted Davao City routed Cotabato City 8-1 Friday to book a finals berth in the Addidas U-19 South/Central Mindanao Finals in Tagum City.
Davao, coached by Ramonito Carreon, will play for the title at 8 a.m. Sunday against the Sultan Kudarat-Davao del Norte match still being played as of press time.
Joey Arobo sizzled with five goals in the 27th, 45th, 67th, 84th and 90th minutes to lead scoring for Davao while Johnny Victory Molinos scored on a hattrick (13th, 25th, 45th).
Adbul Salammanadol hit in the 39th for Cotabato's lone goal.
Davao earlier pulled off a 3-0 shutout over Compostela Valley after forcing a 3-3 standoff with South Cotabato.
