Agilas win crown on Montaña's no-show
THE Duterte Agilas didn't have to sweat in capturing the 2005 Sta. Cruz Basketball Tournament title in Davao del Sur recently.
This, after rival Montaña Pawnshop failed to show up in the championship match since it was still playing in a Cebu league.
The Agilas, who topped the eliminations after beating Monta¤a (95-88), North Cotabato Braves (68-66) and Digos Mayor's Squad (95-88), received the trophy from Sta. Cruz organizers.
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte's sports ambassadors will next see action in a tournament set in Tagum City.
Winsjohn Te, Jose Randy Panerio, Raymon Soria, TJ David, Ritcher Viduya, Randy Bangoy, Freddyrem Recto, Ritchel Naron, Dioven Braga, Justin Cachuela, Greggy Delica, Alfredo Gonzaga, Jasper Callo, Jojit Duremdes and Jigger Saniel compose the Agilas. (MLS)
