Davao SMEs lack info on product marketing
THERE is not enough information reaching the small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs) as to where they could best market their products internationally, said Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (DCCCII) Executive Director Jayson Magnaye.
According to Magnaye SMEs know that there is a market but do not know where it is.
Magnaye said they do not have good marketing intelligence and they want the Department of Trade and Industry to look into this.
"Maybe it is a matter of knowing it and coordinating with rightful agencies because they have the information and in turn it (information) could trickle down especially to the end users like the SMEs," Magnaye said.
Magnaye said that with regards the DCCCII's long-term program, they have included SME development because of the big demand for assistance coming from them.
"What they're asking is to help them in marketing and this is one concern that the chamber has focus on," said Magnaye.
Magnaye added that through the Davao Trade Exhibit (Date), the SMEs could showcase their products where it could gain partnership from foreign exhibitors.
Magnaye said they want SMEs to find their right partners as they come together to present their products and gain insights by sharing technologies as well.
