Teenage boy charged for car parts theft
THE City Prosecutor's Office has recommended theft charges to be filed against a 15-year-old boy after he was accused of stealing vehicle parts from an auto store in Buhangin, Davao City Thursday.
Prosecutor I Marte S. Velasco recommended the filing of charges against Perry (name withheld for being a minor), a resident of Sasa this city, who is now locked up at the Buhangin police detention cell.
The complaint was filed by Arthur Medrano, supervisor of the U-One Trading along Diversion road in Buhangin this city.
In his affidavit complaint, Medrano said that he learned about the incident from his elder sister Amelita, the owner of the U-One Trading who called him up to inform him that their security guard, Carelino Salvana of the Axzeen Security Agency, arrested a thief in their shop.
Salvana in his affidavit said, he was near the shop's entrance gate at around 4 a.m. on October 20 when he saw a boy sneaking out with several items from somewhere inside.
The security guard grabbed the boy and found him with a vehicle transmission valued at P8,000, a cylinder head worth P3,200, and three welding cables valued at P1,800.
It was Medrano who brought the boy to the Buhangin Police Precinct. (JGR)
