Davao, Cebu bowlers rule

THE Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) Team 6 captured the team event crown of the 1st Davao Invitational Tenpin Bowling Tournament at the B3 Entertainment Centrum alleys in NCCC Mall.

MYS of Cebu, meanwhile, took home the doubles event title in the tournament organized by Datba headed by its president Froi Balagtas.

Datba 6, composed of Jeff Gancio, Tess Gancio and Marloue Castillo, finished the four-game series with 2249 pinfalls to bag the P25,000 champion's purse.

Two Manila teams, MTBA and PRIMA, placed second and third, respectively.

MTBA took home P15,000 and PRIMA P9,000.

MYS is bannered by Manny Tiu and Yule. The tandem won P10,000.

Albert Surplus 2 of Cebu composed of Clifford Tan and Steve Lim finished second for P7,000 and Datba 1 bannered by Che Calida and Nonoy Calida placed third for P3,000.

The singles event was scheduled Saturday night while the masters event were being played playing as of press time.
