Tugaya collects 4th win
THE Tugaya Team continued to pile up more wins after outgunning the Hilux Adventure, 67-62, in the Duterte Basketball League's Ramadhan Cup, Wednesday night, at the Barangay 23-C covered court.
The victory was 4 for Tugaya and the third loss for Hilux in five outings.
In other games, Prince Valiant won by default against Barangay Tigatto while the Taraka squad also collected another win on the no-show of the Taraka squad.
Games will resume on Friday, Nov. 4, featuring Hilux against Kalagan Tribe at 6 p.m., Consai vs. Tugaya at 7 p.m. and Barangay Pampanga vs. the Toril Bravehearts at 8 p.m.
The tournament, organized as part of the Ramadhan celebration, is presented by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte and sanctioned by the BAP regional director Regino "Boy" Cua.
Meanwhile, the Mayor RRD Basketball Clinic will resume on Nov. 5 and 6 at the barangay proper covered court.
The clinic is open to all boys and girls in the barangays, preferably 12 years old and below.
Davao City sports coordinator Christopher "Bong" Go said the program is being continued to reach out to more children and introduce to them the benefits of engaging themselves to sports at an early age.
