Man lusts for teenage daughter, kills wife
A MAN who wanted to marry his 16-year-old daughter hacked his wife dead in a barangay in Don Marcelino, Davao del Sur Saturday afternoon.
Killed while undergoing treatment at the Davao Medical Center (DMC) is Manuela, 37, while locked up at the Don Marcelino municipal police office is her husband, Ernesto, 39.
Information from the hospital reported that the couple quarreled at around 3 p.m. when Ernesto insisted that he wants to marry their daughter.
The daughter accompanied her mother to the Davao Medical Center (DMC) where the mother died hours later.
The girl told the security guard at the DMC that her father got so mad that he hacked her mother several times.
"The girl said her father had some mental problems," according to the security guard.
Neighbors nabbed Ernesto while Manuela was brought to the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital in Digos City but she was later transferred to the DMC for the serious wounds in her body.
Ernesto is now in the hands of the Don Marcelino municipal police office. (JGR)
