P20-M herbal plant in Davao Oriental to generate jobs

CARMEN, Davao del Norte -- The P20 million plant set up by M.I. Herbal Laboratory is expected to generate jobs and spur economic enterprise in sluggish Barangay Ising.

In a recent grand launching, Ising village chief Rolando Cabellar said he was hopeful that the investment would bring job opportunities for his constituents.

Cabellar disclosed that a large percentage of Ising residents who are supposed to be in the labor force do not have jobs.

But M.I. Laboratory proprietor Isabel Sangutan has vowed they would hire local residents for the plant operation.

M.I. Laboratory also offers business opportunities for residents to earn into by joining membership of M.I. direct selling network.

M.I. Herbal Laboratory is the producer of M.I. Herbal Capsule, M.I. Squalene, Clariz, M.I. Wonder oil, Reborn Hair Therapy, Divine Soap, bleaching soap, massage and slimming cream.

Cabellar said he also hope other investors would get attracted to locate in Carmen after some entrepreneurs have found their way here.

Cabellar said Carmen is a strategic place for investors to locate as it offers low real estate price and provides easy access to two fast-moving cities of Tagum and Panabo.

On the other hand, Carmen Municipal Mayor Jesus Gaviola said flooding no longer bugs Carmen residents after heavy rain.

The Municipal Government has built flood control infrastructure so that water stays within course of Ising River, preventing overflowing to occur during rainy season.
