2 teeners sued for stealing neighbor's fan

TWO teenagers are charged with stealing an electric stand fan from their neighbor, while one of them is also facing charges for carrying unlicensed gun in Kasilak, Bucana last month.

Prosecutor Retrina E. Fuentes recommended the filing of theft charges against Jeffrey Ibal and one alias Dandan Dangcolos, of legal age, and residents of Kasilak, Bucana, Davao City.

Ibal is also charged with illegal possession of firearm.

Angelo Cervantes, resident of the same place, filed the complaint.

Fuentes set a bailbond of P10,000 each for Ibal and Dangcolos' temporary liberty.

Ibal is now locked up at the San Pedro police detention cell while Dangcolos remains at large.

In his sworn affidavit, Cervantes said that he arrive home at around 6 p.m. on October 28 only to discover his house was already burglarized.

Cervantes said that his landlord named Gilbert Aclan told him that he saw Ibal and Dangcolos leaving his rented room carrying an electric stand fan.

Aclan, Cervantes added, chased the suspects who were able to escape leaving the electric fan near the house of one Boboy Lopez, also resident of the same place.

Cervantes later recovered his electric fan.

The following day, on October 29, the barangay policemen in Bucana arrested Ibal.

The barangay policemen recovered an improvised handgun in Ibal's possession with a bullet of a caliber .9mm pistol. (JGR)
