Acojedo lifts Executives
JOHN Acojedo made a steal in the dying seconds and converted the free throw shots off a foul to lift the CMO Executives past the Davao City Police Office, 111-108, in overtime of the Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte-Holcim Philippines 3rd AFP and PNP Basketball Tournament semifinal round Saturday at the Davao City Recreation Center.
The victory assured the Executives of a final's appearance after the Christmas break.
The game ended in 96-all, and the DCPO fought harder in the extra period with Ryan Go, Donato Perucho, Roberto Jaca, Manuel Canencia hitting from the perimeter.
But the Executives picked up fouls from the DCPO side and converted their gift shots.
