Busy tennis sked in 2006
THE year 2006 will be another busy year for junior tennis in Davao City.
In the calendar are six big tournaments lined up by the Philippine Tennis Association (Philta)-Southern Mindanao headed by regional vice president Juanito "Titong" Cansino and the city government of Davao.
Kicking off the busy schedule is the Racquet Sports tournament from February 18-20 to be followed by the Prince Nassau age group from March 11-13.
After that the Head Penn Circuit opens with the first leg in Davao City from April 1-4. The fourth event will be the Prince Nassau from August 19-21.
The fifth big event will be the Sports Depot from December 20-22, and the last one is the Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte tournament from December 26-29.
Cansino had already submitted the list to Philta national president Manuel D. Misa for sanction and inclusion in the Philta calendar.
