No council session on Tuesday
THERE will be no council session Tuesday, announced City Councilor Emmanuel D. Galicia Sr. Monday.
January 17 marks the official start of the Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) and the city mayor is sponsoring a golf tournament for the guests.
"The mayor requested that the session be postponed because of the golf tournament sponsored by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte," Galicia said.
The program sheet of the ATF states there will be a "Friendly Games for Delegates and ATF Friendly Golf" at the Paradise Island Resort and Palos Verdes from 7:30 am to noon.
"There are about seven councilor players on the tournament and there will be no quorum without them," Galicia said.
City Councilor Diosdado A. Mahipus Sr. said the session is postponed according to the order of Vice Mayor Luis C. Bonguyan.
Instead of Tuesday, the session will be held on Thursday and will start at 9 a.m. (BRQ)
