‘Araw’ 5-K run
PREPARATIONS are now in full swing for the Araw ng Dabaw 5-k age-group fun run slated February 26.
The footrace features the boys and girls 12 to 15 years old and 16 to 18, men's and women's 19 to 30, 31 to 40, 41 to 50, and 51-above divisions.
Organizers said hundreds of participants are expected to vie for honors in the running event sanctioned by the Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association (Patafa)-Southern Mindanao Region.
Medals and other prizes will be up for grabs in the race spearheaded by the Davao City Sports Council Inc.
Other Araw ng Dabaw sports events include the Mindanao Invitational Women's Volleyball Tournament on March 10 to 12 set either at the Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort or at Times Beach.
The National Age-Group Triathlon Championships is set on March 12 at the Waterfront Insular Hotel while the Mindanao-wide Under-20 Chess Championship will be held on March 25 to 26 at the SM City Davao. (MLSA)
