Castillo and Bonguyan scored identical 71 but the former had a handicap of 13 to edge the latter who made 20 for the second spot.

Both received cash prizes and trophies in the one-day golffest presented by the city government of Davao, TTG Asia Media Pte Ltd, Philippine Convention and Visitors Corp. and the Department of Tourism.

San Miguel Corp., Nanay Bebeng's Restaurant, Davao Farms Inc., McDonald's SM and Marco Polo Hotel sponsored the event.

Another round of golf action gets going Wednesday at the Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club.

Dubbed CNN-ATF Ministers Friendly Golf Tournament, it is an 18-hole individual competition for invited ATF Ministers and VIPs.

Special prizes await the over-all gross and over-all net champions along with the net runner-up.

A golf umbrella, golf shirt, golf balls, ball bag and shirts are among the giveaways.

Awarding rites is set at the RPVGCC clubhouse.

The CNN-ATF event will wrap up the two-day golfing activity for the Asean Tourism Forum slated to close on January 21.
