JR-E tops SBC President's Cup By Marianne L. Saberon-Abalayan
THE JR-E Bowlers captured the SBC President's Cup Open Bowling Tournament title Friday night at the Fairlanes Bowling Center.
JR-E edged early elimination round leader Ayang's Catering, which placed second, for the top purse of P8,000. The latter settled for the runner-up prize of P6,000.
The D' Victors B finished third to get P4,000 while Bravorm Engineering and the City Government took P3,000 and P2,000 for the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Organizer Sunday Bowlers Club (SBC) officers got P1,000 in sixth place.
JR-E also won the highest team single while D' Victors B clinched the highest team double crown.
Boy Payca of D' Victors A emerged masters champion while Cesar Rentuma of Kaibigan Bowlers won the highest pinning.
Eagle Bowlers' Glenn Perez copped the highest individual score honors while D' Victors B bet Lalio Elumbaring swept the highest individual average and highest individual double.
Meanwhile, the 3rd Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte Cup Bowling Tournament will get underway on February 23 to March 23 at Fairlanes.
The Duterte bowlfest will be an eight-game elimination round. It stakes over P30,000 cash prizes.
