Roxanne, Joross at Lovapalooza '06

TWO of today's hottest stars, Roxanne Guinoo and Joross Gamboa, graced Close-up's Lovapalooza '06 at the MTS on Saturday night.

The two gamely obliged for an interview with local press at the BlueGr Café, where the stars stayed in between breaks in the program.

Roxanne says she underwent a couple of workshops to be able to play the role of a tomboy in ABS-CBN's teleserye "Gulong ng Palad."

"Wala po akong kilalang tomboy sa tutoong buhay or kaibigan na tomboy," she says. "Pero tinutulungan po ako ni Direk."

Joross meanwhile will play the role of a gay in an upcoming movie with no less than Vilma Santos, "Flores de Mara." Like Roxanne, he says that they are assisted in their acting.

Shot in Pampanga, "Gulong ng Palad" will end sometime in June.

However, the two will not divulge on how the story will end, not even a clue. "Basta matatapos po siya," Joross says.

Close Up Lovapalooza '06 returned in four simultaneous romance parties at Roxas Boulevard Baywalk in Manila, Bayanihan Park Mac Arthur Highway in Angeles, FGU Business Park Ayala in Cebu, and Matina Town Square.

Among the celebrities that graced the party of the year were Rivermaya, Aaron Villena, DM Sevilla, Sheryn Regis, Karel Marquez, and Erich Gonzales.

Raymond Gutierrez, Bianca King, James Blanco and Danica Sotto and Close-Up To Fame winners Reyson Yap and Carene Cabebe hosted Lovapalooza 2006.

The romance doesn't end there; tomorrow sees the premiere of the first Close Up movie starring Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd, and Sam Milby.

Get ready to hear the movie's official theme song "Close To You" as sung by Sam Milby himself. Experience the love again and again with the regular screenings, starting February 15.
