Love is everywhere at Lovapalooza '06
By Ana Felicia Dulay

IT WAS party-time once again during Close-Up's Lovapalooza '06 at the Matina Town Square on Saturday, the grandest Valentine celebration ever. Celebrities flew all the way from Manila to perform for Dabawenyos, who cheered and screamed as their favorite stars went onstage.

Rivermaya, Aaron Villena, DM Sevilla, Sheryn Regis, Jerome Sala, Karel Marquez and Erich Gonzales belted out hits while Raymond Gutierrez, Bianca King, James Blanco and Danica Sotto hosted the show.

"My Labster Chit-Chat". Post your Valentine greetings and stories here.

But Lovapalooza '06 will not be complete without couples kissing to vie for the longest kiss contest at the stroke of midnight. Truly a special way to express your love and proclaim it out loud.

Sun.Star Davao set up a booth at the MTS park for those who wished to write love letters to their special someone.

Close Up Lovapalooza '06 was celebrated in four simultaneous romance parties at Roxas Boulevard Baywalk in Manila, Bayanihan Park Mac Arthur Highway in Angeles, FGU Business Park Ayala in Cebu, and in Davao City.

Teens had a grand timme disco dancing until the wee hours of the morning. I should know my son went home at past 3:00 a.m.

A successful party, thanks to Task Force Davao who outdid themselves this year to ensure everything was in order, Unilever Philippines and the indefatigable Gatchi Gatchalian who was all over the place that night.
