'Etheria' draws near
THE moment of truth has arrived: It will be known if the five Sang'gres -- Amihan (Iza Calzado), Pirena (Sunshine Dizon), Alena (Karylle), Danaya (Diana Zubiri), and Ybrahim (Dingdong Dantes) -- would finally succeed in completely destroying the Golden Hourglass that is Etheria's source of power and saving the heir to Lireo, Cassandra (Ella Guevara), from captivity.
The grandest twist in primetime telefantasya in the history of Philippine television also draws near in GMA Network's breathtaking telefantasya, Etheria: Ang Ikalimang Kaharian ng Encantadia.
For fear that she may never be born and become part of the present, Pirena was again unable to restrain herself from interfering with the fate of her parents Mine-a (Nadine Samonte) and Hagorn (Ping Medina).
Pirena took it upon herself to help Prince Hagorn of Hathoria win back Mine-a by giving him the power to change his form and take on that of Raquim's (Dennis Trillo).
A flower bud was found in Mine-a's hand, a symbol of the infant, which has been conceived in her womb.
Mine-a believes that she now bears her child with Raquim, yet the truth is as shocking as it is painful. What would now become of Raquim and Mine-a's love affair?
Meanwhile, the long impending war between Etheria and Sapiro and the revolt of the Diwatas would finally explode.
The diwata Amarro (Alfred Vargas) has just completed the Kalasag (armor) for Raquim. It possesses certain powers and would recognize no one else as its owner apart from Raquim and his rightful heir.
In the present, Ybrahim is his rightful heir, yet in the past, Ybrahim or Alexus is on the side of the Etherians, for he has lost his memory when he traveled to the past without permission.
Alexus even promised the Queen of Etheria, Avria (Francine Prieto), that he would be the one to kill Raquim and Mine-a and lead the forces who would conquer Sapiro.
Would Ybrahim ever regain his memory and return to the present with his wife Alena or will he forever be trapped in the past, with the Etherians and Odessa (Pauleen Luna), the Heran who has him under her spell?
The much-anticipated battle between the four Sang'gre sisters and the Herans Avria, Andora (Alessandra de Rossi), and Juvila (Jopay Paguia) would finally ensue.
Who would emerge victorious in the encounter? Would the Sang'gres be able to defeat the powerful Herans to completely destroy the curse of the Golden Hourglass?
There are so many questions that have yet to be answered, so many mysteries yet to be unraveled. Viewers should not miss a scene on Etheria this week.
The power of the Sang'gres and the strength of their love would be put to the test this week: Would they be able to surpass the great challenges?
Etheria airs weeknights after Extra Challenge on GMA Telebabad.
