Viloria to show wares
BOXING fans aching to know how prepared World Boxing Council (WBC) light flyweight champion Brian Viloria in his coming championship fight with Jose Antonio Aguirre will have a glimpse of his boxing skills Wednesday.
This is when organizers of the "Real Warriors" boxing card hold a media workout for all the protagonists at the Alladin Theather in Las Vegas.
The Fil-Am Viloria, who is called the "Hawaiian Punch," will be the first to show his wares before his challenger from Mexico and the performers in the main event, World Boxing Organization welterweight champ Antonio Margarito and Manuel "Shot Gun" Gomez, take the ring.
WBO flyweight titlist Ivan Calderon is also scheduled to strut his stuff right after Viloria.
The card will be staged this Saturday (Sunday in Manila) at the Aladdin Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Viloria, who carries a record of 18-0 with 12 knockout wins, will be making his first defense of the crown he wrested from Mexican Eric Ortiz in September via a sensational first round stoppage.
Viloria has been training at the Wild Card Gym of noted American trainer Freddie Roach, the same guru of Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.
Aguirre, who will enter the ring with a slate of 34-4-1 with 20 KOs, is attempting to win his second world title and is managed by Erik Morales.
