Raps filed v. 3 men for neighbor's death
By Joy Romares-Sevilla

THE City Prosecutor's Office has formally recommended the filing of charges against three men accused of mauling their neighbor to death in Km. 11, Sasa, Davao City, last year.

City Prosecutor Raul B. Bendigo forwarded the homicide charges in court against Allan Habibon, Nasser Salih, and Sabre Sahi, all residents of Zone 2, Km. 11.

The filing of charges was resolved by Associate Prosecution Attorney II Mariam Mastura-Mamukid based on the complaint of Maria Azucena Doydoy, of legal age, wife of the victim named Roger Doydoy, 34, a neighbor of the respondents.

Another neighbor, Jailee Alforo, executed an affidavit as witness.

Alforo said he was on his way home at around 12:30 a.m. of September 19, 2005 when he saw Habibon, together with Salih and Sahi walking angrily towards the footbridge in their place.

Alforo rushed after the three men only to see Roger lying on the footbridge being mauled by the respondents.

The witness said he shouted at the men, but the latter continued boxing Roger before walking off towards their home as if nothing happened, leaving Roger bloodied and bruised.

Alforo said they brought Roger to the Davao Medical Center (DMC) but the latter was declared dead by the attending physicians.

The prosecution set bail of P30,000 for each of the respondent. They remain at large.
