Police deployed full force for 'Araw' By Joy Romres-Sevilla
THE Davao City Police Office (DCPO), Task Force Davao (TFD), 911, and 11th Regional Mobile Group (RMG) of the Police Regional Office (PRO) will guard the week-long celebration of the Araw ng Dabaw.
Senior Superintendent Catalino S. Cuy, chief of the DCPO, said they have already started the security deployment last week. "We are deploying the maximum personnel for this celebration," Cuy said.
Cuy said 1,300 personnel from the DCPO will be deployed starting Tuesday, a command post of the 911 will also be visible in some areas in the city, he added.
"Aside from the 911 and DCPO personnel, a company from RMG and a complement from the TFD will be joining us to secure our people," Cuy said.
Cuy added that since last week, they have already established a temporary detachment at the PTA grounds and at the Piging sa Da'n along Roxas Avenue.
"Ang hinahandaan din namin ay yung dalawang magaganap na concerts sa PTA this coming 15 and 16, siyempre you will see uniformed policemen, whole force ito ng DCPO, 911, RMG at TFD," Cuy said.
