WT-FM booters crush Ebocci By Charles Raymond A. Maxey
THE WT-FM booters unleashed a balance attack to crush a hapless Ebocci side, 4-1, Sunday and post their second straight victory in the 1st PGMA-PSC-Rep. Nograles Cup.
National player Peter Jaugan was again at the forefront of the WT-FM assault, booting in a goal that sparked his teammates.
Johnny Victor Moliños, Jerome Balaga, and Geraldo Maldos likewise scored a goal each to complete scoring for the winning team.
Bonifacio Mangga found the net for Ebocci to avert a shutout.
Medvil, meanwhile, suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Hooilgans to allow WT-FM to take the top spot in the team standings with six points.
Medvil, which beat Davao U-19 in the opener, looked headed for another win when it opened scoring courtesy of Rolando Señas in the 23rd minute.
But the Hooligans never wavered despite yielding the game's first goal as they countered in the 33rd on Jonathan Miller's strike for the equalizer.
Then, in the second half, Allay Ray Fernandez struck to give the Hooligans the upperhand at 2-1.
Davao U-19 also rebounded from its opening game defeat with a 5-0 blanking of Solido United.
Prince Pundok scored twice for Davao U-19, while Joey Arobo, Ruel Fred Napuran and Roberto Acog added one each.
